5 VERSES MAKKAN REVELATION

The campaign of Abraha, the Abyssinian ruler of Al Yaman against Makkah with the purpose of destroying the Ka’aba in the year of the prophet pbuh birth. He had with him an elephant which impressed the arabs. The elephant refused to advance on the last stage of the march and swarms of flying creatures pelted the Abyssinians with stones

Another tradition says they retired in disorder to an outbreak of smallpox in the camp. Ka’abah was saved from destruction after its defenders had despaired

The Qureysh were protected from the Abyssinains a favour from Allah SWT

Ababeel birds defended against battalions of enemy elephants by throwing stones from their beaks.
