58: AL MUJADILAH-SHE THAT DISPUTETH

22 VERSES MADINAH REVELATION

A woman disputed with the Prophet pbuh because he took no action against a man who used the formula of the pagan arabs to say her back was for him as the back of his mother. Then this revelation came

3: If you say this about your wife and afterward go back on it you must free a slave before touching one another

4: Or fast two successive months before they touch one another, if he cannot fast then the feeding of 60 needy ones

7: Allah SWT is everywhere, there is no secret conference

10: The devil cannot harm believers unless by Allah SWT leave

Zihar is an unlawful method of divorce. By freeing a slave Zihar can be reversed this happened in pre historic times

This surah discusses that when Zihar occurs a man and woman can reconcile by freeing a slave and feeding 60 needy ones.

Allah SWT heard her khawla when she was so distressed and it is a reminder that Allah SWT is there with us

Allah SWT forbade Zihar it is blameworthy.

A Surah was sent down because Allah SWT heard her.
