22: AL HAJJ - the pILGRIMAGE

78 VERSES MADINAH REVELATION

The name is taken from V26-38 relating to the pilgrimage to Makkah. The Day of Judgement is given as a reminder that the end of the world will happen. Prophet Abraham pbuh built Ka’aba by Allah SWT command and nonbelievers do not have the right to stop people visiting the Holy Mosque.

2: On the day of reckoning every nursing mother will forget her nursing and every pregnant woman will be delivered of her burden and Muhammed pbuh will see man as drunken but they will not be drunk

5: Man is created from dust then a drop of seed then a clot then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless. Some die young and some old so they know nothing after knowing so much

7: Those in the graves will rise

19: Those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads

20: That in their bellies and their skins will be melted

21: For them are hooked rods of iron

23: Believers will enter gardens underneath which rivers flow where they will be allowed armlets of gold and pearls and their raiment will be silk

26: Abraham pbuh was told to purify the Ka’abah for those who make the round and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration

27: Proclaim unto mankind the pilgrimage

28: Mention the name of Allah SWT on appointed days over the beast of cattle that have been bestowed upon them. Then eat and feed the poor.

30: Shun the filth of idols and shun lying speech

31: Do not associate partners  to Allah SWT and whoever does this is as though he had fallen from the sky and the birds had snatched him or the wind had blown him to a far off place

The only sacrifice Allah SWT requires of man is the surrender of his will and purpose. The slaughter of animals for food for the poor which is one of the ceremonies of Hajj is not a form of atonement sacrifice but is in memory of the sacrifice of Abraham pbuh which marked the end of human sacrifice for the semetic race

37: Their flesh and blood reach not Allah SWT but devotion from you reaches Allah SWT

46: It is not the eyes that grow blind but it is the hearts

47: A day with Allah SWT is as a thousand years of what you reckon

53: Allah SWT makes that which the devil proposes a temptation for those in whose hearts is a disease and those whose hearts are hardened

58: Those who fled their homes for the cause of Allah SWT and then were slain or died, Allah SWT will provide for them a good provision

59: They will enter by an entry that they love

65: Allah SWT is for mankind full of pity merciful

67: Each nation has been given sacred rites which they are to perform

72: The fire is promised for those who disbelieve

73: Whoever the disbelievers worship could not even create a fly if the fly took something from them they could not rescue it. So weak the seeker and the sought

75: Allah SWT chooses from the angels Messengers and from mankind

78: The faith of your father Abraham pbuh is yours. He has named you muslims (those who have surrended)
