5 VERSES MAKKAN REVELATION
Asking Allah SWT for protection from evil
The prophet pbuh would at night time join his his hands and breathe into them reciting surah Ikhlas surah Falaq surah An Nas and then wipe as much of his body as he could with his hands beginning from his head, face, front of his body doing that 3 times.
Surah 113 and 114 are called Muawwidhatayn because in both these surahs we are seeking refuge from Allah SWT. These surahs are so strongly related with their contents closely resembling each other that they have been designated by the name Muawwidhatayn
Tradition states that these two surahs were revealed together hence their combined name Muawwidhatayn
Surah Falaq -seeking Allah SWT refuge from evil of all creation
Surah An Nas-Seek Allah SWT refuge from evil of conspiracies of all creation
Recite them when going to bed and when waking up
“Don’t feel ashamed when giving little for charity; that is because there is always goodness in giving no matter how little.” Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA)
