Examine the women who come as fugitives from the idolators , if you find them sincere converts to Al Islam do not return them. This modifies the terms of the truce of Al Hudebiyah whereby all fugitives were to return to the idolators whereas the idolators were not obliged to give up renegades from Al Islam

The change was because of the terrible persecution women would undergo if extradited

The muslims would pay an indemnity for them. For those wives who might flee to Qureysh there was no indemnity to be paid. When the Islamic state had wealth the husbands were to be repaid by the state what their wives had taken of their property. V.12 the pledge women refugees take after their examination

Do not make alliance with the enemies of Allah SWT, Abraham pbuh distanced himself from the pagans of his own tribe, including his father

Peace unless attacked or war is justified to stop injustice or protect the religion

Marriages between muslimsand polytheists no longer valid

Women must also pledge allegiance V.12 like men but defending was added to mens pledge
