31: LUQMAN - LUQMAN

34 VERSES MAKKAN REVELATION

The wisdom of Luqman pbuh. He was captured and sold as a slave but was a man of wisdom. The Surah conveys assurance of success to the muslims at a time of persecution. Luqman pbuh was a very wise man he was not a prophet but Allah SWT bestowed him with wisdom. He gave good advice to his children. He advised his son:

1: Do not attribute any partner to Allah SWT it is a terrible wrong

2: Be good to parents

3: Allah SWT knows everything

4: Keep up the prayer

5: Command what is right forbid what is wrong

6: Bear anything that happens to you steadfastly

7: Do not turn your nose up at people

8: Nor walk about the place arrogantly. A believer is always humble

9: Go at a moderate pace not arrogantly or boastful

10: lower your voice

7: The disbeliever in pride turns away as though deaf when the revelations are recited unto them

12: Luqman pbuh was given wisdom saying give thanks unto Allah SWT

13: Luqman pbuh said unto his son ascribe no partners unto Allah SWT to do so is a tremendous wrong

Luqman pbuh said to his son:

14: Give thanks to parents

16: Allah SWT is aware of everything

17: Establish worship and enjoin kindness and forbid iniquity and persevere whatever may befall thee

18: Do not be boastful

19: Be modest and subdue they voice

27: If all the trees in the earth were pens and the sea with seven more seas to help it were ink the words of Allah SWT could not be exhausted
